The PROXIMITY HID readers are HID compatible proximity readers, for use with the Net2 or 3rd party access control systems. The PROXIMITY HID readers work with standard HID cards, operating at 125 kHz. The Wiegand card data is transmitted untruncated. The reader range includes the PROXIMITY P50M HID reader, the PROXIMITY metal HID reader and the PROXIMITY panel mount HID reader. The PROXIMITY HID readers come with 3m of cable and can be wired as shown on the control unit label. Be sure to avoid mounting on metal surfaces or near other proximity readers as this will affect the read range. The cable exits centrally from the back of the reader making drilling and mounting very accurate. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is then granted or denied as appropriate. If access is granted the green LED flashes, if access is denied the red LED flashes.
