eSATA interface requires Port Multiplier with FIS-based switching on main computer to enable access to multiple HDDs simultaneously.
USB 3.0 interface provides maxium speed up to 410 MB/s. UASP is supported in Windows 8 and higher, Mac OSX (10.8 or above), and Linux.
Tool Less HDD Tray
The tool less tray design provides a simple way of HDD installation. Supports all brands of 2.5" and 3.5" SATA I/IV/ll hard disk drive up to 878 per drive bay.
The Syba SY-ENC50118 5-Bay RAID System is a powerful RAID storage management device with flexible connectivity and easy HDD access. SY-ENC50118 offers many RAID options including: RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), RAID 10, RAID 5, JBOD (independent disks) and Combine (Span). The LED indicators provide verification of operating status and drive health/activity.
The tool less tray design provides a simple way of HDD installation. Airflow is maximized due to the high quality, quiet fans that exhaust air away from the internal HDDs. The thermally efficient aluminum maintains optimal HDD operating temperature, prolonging the life of the HDDs.
